Group Therapy

Our groups are confidential and non-judgmental spaces where you will be able to learn from other people who share similar concerns and experiences. 

Mind and Moon Skills Groups are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills groups.  DBT groups are effective treatment for people who struggle with suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, overwhelming emotions, and /or problems with self-hatred or anger towards the self.  DBT can be particularly helpful for people who have complex post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment wounds, or depression and anxiety that interferes with the ability to have a rewarding life.  In the skills group, we learn and practice mindfulness to calm and center ourselves.  We also learn specific strategies for increasing self-mastery and decreasing painful emotional outbursts and self-harming behaviors. 

Mind and Moon Dream Groups are based on Montague Ullman’s approach to dream work.  Understanding our dreams can help us learn to live in a way that is more intentional and self-aware.  Dream groups provide a safe space to explore the meanings of our dreams and develop fluency in the symbolic language of the unconscious.  Through working with dreams, we come to see ourselves as part of a dynamic and complex web of co-creation that connects all of humanity. Each participant in the dream group will have more than one opportunity to share a dream and receive help from the group with understanding the dream’s symbolic meaning.

Tarot for Healing teaches participants how to interpret the 78 images of the Tarot Deck.  Group members will learn how to use the cards to access intuitive guidance that can help us to navigate the highs and lows of modern life.  Together, we explore the archetypal symbols of the Tarot and learn to use the cards as a practical tool for achieving perspective and clarity about our personal journey.

Fees for Group Therapy:

$250 for 10 sessions, payable in advance

People who have Medicaid pay $150 for ten sessions, payable in three installments.
