Many thousands of years ago, our human ancestors began to track the cycles of the moon, the stars and the planets.  They noticed a relationship between changes in the sky and changes in circumstances of life here on earth.  “As above, so below” is the basic premise of astrology: what happens in the sky can give us insight into changes we experience in our civilization and also in our individual lives.  By mapping the sky as it appears at the moment of our birth, we can understand something about our innate potentials and how these potentials may unfold over the course of our lifetime.

I began studying astrology with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in 2020.  The Faculty is a London-based school of astrology that was founded in 1948.  Many well-known and highly respected astrologers have studied at the Faculty, of Astrological Studies including Liz Greene, Melanie Reinhardt and Howard Sasportas.  I have completed all nine modules of the Faculty program, and I am currently working on towards the FAS diploma.  The Faculty approach to astrology combines “an ancient magical mindset with a contemporary psychological approach.”

An astrological reading with me is an exploration of the symbolism contained in your natal horoscope.  I will also help you understand the forecasting of the “astrological weather” for the upcoming year.  I cannot tell the future, and I won’t be able to tell you how many children you will have, when you will meet your one true love or how much money you will make; but an astrological reading is an opportunity for you to reflect on the characteristics that make “you” be “you”,  as well as what approach might help you manage the energy of the moment.

Tarot

The Tarot deck is a set of 78 cards that can be used for divination.  The 76 cards of the Tarot deck represent different archetypal symbols.  Cards are chosen and arranged in a particular pattern to provide answers to questions about the future and how situations can unfold.  Many different decks of Tarot exist.  I generally use the Rider Waite deck, and the Celtic Cross spread for divination.  I also love Patrick Valenza’s amazing Deviant Moon deck, and I use his recommended spread of cards forming a circle.
